ÉTUDE DE L'IMPACT D'UNE INTRODUCTION DES ATELIERS DE PHILOSOPHIE DANS LES CURRICULUMS AU PRIMAIRE ET AU COLLÈGE SUR L'INTÉGRITÉ COGNITIVE 1

Abstract: philosophical practice is not institutionalized today. Our data are based on samples of philosophical discussion for children and a standardized test measuring cognitive integrity. The test results show some progressive standardization of cognitive integrity scores in primary school. In secondary school, comparing the philosophizing pupils with ordinary pupils showed that cognitive integrity was correlated with school results. The practice of philosophical discussion narrowed school differences, although some philosophizing pupils were uneasy.

Implantés aléatoirement, les ateliers philosophiques ne sont pas institutionnalisés. Nous avons mesuré un score d'intégrité cognitive à l'aide d'un test standardisé et comparé les scores des élèves (philosophant/tout venant). Au primaire, les résultats au test mettent à jour une homogénéisation progressive des scores d'intégrité cognitive. Au collège, l'intégrité cognitive est corrélée aux moyennes scolaires. La comparaison philosophant/tout venant instruit que les ateliers de philosophie amenuisent les écarts scolaires et déstabilisent quelques élèves.
